I just got back from Vegas and took a slightly different tack. i stayed the first few nights at my cheap place and the last two at Rafe's condo. It would have been $125 per night to stay at the hotel on the final two nights so I split the difference and donated $125 to Habitat for Humanity of Las Vegas

Theory of Relativity - is it nicer by 75% than your normal living quarters?

"Given that I am in the room to sleep and shower," - Please consider how much of you life you spend sleeping.

Is it karmically bad to stay in a nicer place that I’m not really using? - I would argue that karma is both more complex and adaptive.

It may be useful to assess your own karmic debt that you feel compelled to stay at the IP.

P.S. Terribles is near the Hard Rock and pretty inexpensive by the way

why don't you use half the difference between the IP and CP costs to buy both meatballs. sorry, it's lunchtime in seattle. In fact you can splurge on a cookie or something considering the cab fare you'll be saving. and then you can split the feast with a nice vegas bum. i'm sure it will make for interesting conversation on complex adaptive systems.
