    I think it’s pretty clear that the overall machinery that controls cells is akin to a complex computer program and “genes” are just the structs. Try to figure out what a piece of software will do if you can only look at the structs. Heck, even if you knew all the components beyond the structs, you still have the Halting Problem to contend with. Which raises the question, are cells _obfuscated_ programs :-)
