Consulting Work
Losada has posted on his consulting work on a positive psychology site. Have to find that.
I’ve been laying out what Losada did in careful detail so the average psychologist can follow it.
Where this overlaps with your work is the idea of modelling psychological phenomena with Lorenz equations. This is a huge departure from the use of regressional models, variable that are idependent of each other, etc.
This connects to the emergence of positive psychology and positive organizational psychology at an ontological level and in the same way to the discussion of morality that I participated in.
Psychologists generally don’t discuss ontology. They’ve been trained to be positivist (rather than positive) and assume without any further thought psychological caphenomena are suitably modelled with regression models. And then having done that attempt to predict one event from another. We’ll argue endlessly about how well we do it. A sensible psychologist assumes an effect no stronger than a correlation of 0.2 and builds their intervention accordingly.
Modelling our phenonomenon as phase states requires us to think of interventions in entitrely different ways.
All yours now. If you want look around the wiki, you’ll have to grab a wikidot account and send me your email address. Then I can invite you from this side.
